PGA Jr. League is a developmental program bringing kids together through fun, team golf experiences. Players compete in a two-person scramble format with other local teams. There are home and away matches.

PGA Jr. League is open to both boys and girls, 17 and under, of all skill levels and abilities. Blackledge’s 13U Team is designed for children age 9-13. Blackledge’s 17U Team is designed for children 14 years old to no older than 17 years old on or before July 31, 2022.

Blackledge's PGA Jr. League Spring/Summer fee is $499. This fee includes 10 practice sessions to develop full swing and short game fundamentals, mental skills (focus, self-confidence, goal setting, teamwork), golf fitness, on course practice to develop course management skills and knowledge of golf rules and etiquette. Additionally, there will be 4 9-hole matches. A party to celebrate the season will be held on the last day of practice. Each team member receives a membership kit with PGA Jr League logoed merchandise (home and away golf shirts with player's name, hat, draw string bag, bag tag). Included in this cost is the annual membership to play on both spring/summer and fall teams.

Players will receive two high-quality custom jerseys: one blue and one orange (home and away) with the player's name on the back, PGA Jr. League ball cap, bag tag, draw string bag, as well as additional programming items.

PGA Jr League Guidelines for Practice

As your coach, my #1 priority is to provide a safe environment to play and enjoy golf. To achieve this goal, I will need the support of all players and parents on the following:

• If a player or immediate family member is not feeling well, please stay home. Know the coaching staff will do the same.
• Please arrive to practice and matches on time.
• Please bring a water bottle from home to all practices and matches.
• At least one parent/guardian must remain on premise in the event we have inclement weather and must end practice or play early.

With these considerations, I have high expectations that each member of my team will set and achieve at least one individual goal this summer and have fun in the process. Practice sessions will include opportunities for both skill development and fun. Many of my practice objectives are best achieved through game like training. Players are in a more ideal mental, physical, and emotional state to learn when they are having fun. And, game like training provides optimum transfer of learning to the golf course.
